AVA E-Bike Voucher Program Application Link
We’re excited to announce that we’ve partnered with Ava Community Energy. Through their new Ava Bike Electric Program, eligible residents of Alameda and San Joaquin counties can save $400 to $1,500 on a new e-bike.
E-bikes offer tremendous benefits for you: reduced car dependency, improved air quality, better health outcomes, and a fun and flexible way to get around. This program helps remove the biggest barrier to e-bike adoption—cost.
Rebates range from $400 to $1,500 depending on bike type and income qualification. Income-qualified customers enrolled in electricity reduction programs like CARE, FERA, or EAP also receive an additional $250 rebate for safety equipment.
Once you apply and are deemed eligible, you'll be entered into monthly random drawings for a chance to receive an instant rebate. Drawing are held every month until September 2026.
Head over to AvaEnergy.org/bike-electric to learn more and complete the application!Which E-Bikes Are Approved for the Voucher?
The three e-bike models approved for the AVA voucher program—the EB030, Gladiator, and Osprey—are all classified as cargo e-bikes. As such, they qualify for a base rebate of $900, or $1,500 for income-qualified participants, in addition to a $250 incentive for eligible accessories (such as helmets, fenders, or delivery bags, subject to program guidelines)
This structure aligns with incentives commonly offered through e-bike programs (including those in California), which provide enhanced support for cargo models due to their utility for transportation, delivery, and family needs.
